Startup. Expertise. Upgrade. Competition in Belgrade. Namics.

Starting as a startup leaves you dedicated to idea of the startup company forever. Being an important part of one country’s software community motivates you to contribute in the development of that community. That is why our Namics Belgrade office organized Startup. Expertise. Upgrade. Namics. Competition.

The contest was planned with the aim of supporting technological entrepreneurship in Serbia and helping individual startups to develop their business concepts. All technological startups from Serbia had the opportunity to participate, while the best ideas were awarded with consultations provided by Namics’ panel of experts. Members of the panel of experts were Bernd Schopp, CEO of Namics, Jürg Stuker, a member of the Board of Directors who focuses on innovations, Sandro Ruch, Head of Technology and Application and Markus Tressl, Senior Solution Architect.

As a result of this competition our panel of experts got an opportunity to meet with the rising Serbian startup CouchCoach. Those guys are developing a smartphone app intended for basketball fans. Thanks to the app all spectators can actively participate in the games of their favorite teams. Among the hosted startups was also CarGo. With the claim #GoAnywhere this team is trying to assist you with the transportation in crowded cities like Belgrade, Amsterdam and London.

After such a successful project and almost two days of consultations, the Namics panel of experts is convinced: Serbian startup teams are dedicated to their projects and persistent with idea placement; they understand needs of software market and are competent on a global level, too.

Therefore, we wish them good luck with upcoming challenges and hope we’ll have an opportunity to host them again!
